Tiny planet video
John here.
My family and I went to Alexandria, Louisiana this past weekend to visit a coffee shop and do some site seeing. I had my Samsung Gear 360 camera with me. Here is a tiny planet video of me crossing the Hwy 167 bridge over the Red River in downtown Alexandria.
Vlog #2
John here.
My second vlog is up on my YouTube channel. I am working on getting comfortable in front of the camera. The only way to get comfortable is to keep going at it. Keep trying. Keep practicing. I hope you like it.
Thanks for watching. Please subscribe. It would be greatly appreciated.
Storm Timelapse
John here.
There was a time when I would timelapse everything I could - weather (incoming/outgoing), sunrises, and sunsets. I even have a moon rise timelapse (I will post that later on). This is a timelapse of an incoming storm back in 2014.
I hope you like this short timelapse. If you haven’t subscribed to you YouTube channel, please do. The link is right here
Thanks for stopping by. I greatly appreciate it.
My first vlog
John here.
I finally jumped into the realm of vlogging. A couple of weeks ago, I put my phone in the holder and did my first vlog. I am not sure how this is going to go in the future but I’m going to give it a shot. I am on the road about an hour a day to and from work so I have time to record a video or two depending on content.
If you have not subscribed to my YouTube channel, please do. Here is the link to my channel.
Tornado Warned Storm
John here.
One of my passions is storm spotting/chasing (though not recommended), storm photography, and storm videography (still a noob at it). I have been storm spotting for a while but officially here in southern Louisiana since 2013 with the Cajun Weather Spotters.
Back in May of 2018, there was a severe warned cell that turned tornadic. A tree limb fell on someone’s truck and some other damage. I was east of the storm when I got some footage. The video below is part of the footage.
Free LUTs (Look Up Tables)
John here.
I am starting to use Davinci Resolve instead of the Adobe Suite for my editing. The main reason is cost. Davinci Resolve has a free version and it is just as powerful as the Adobe Video Suite. Like with learning new software, there is a learning curve but there are enough tutorials on YouTube to learn the software pretty quickly.
One of the videos I watched today talked about a website where you can get free LUTs or Look Up Tables. Here is the link to the site - https://freshluts.com/ and yes, everything on the site is free.
I hope this helps someone.
I’m outta here.
John
