Storm Chasing Chronicles #4 - Impromptu Lightning Hunt

Last night coming home from Lafayette, Louisiana, there was quite a bit of lightning in the area. It was unexpected. On the way, I started the video on my phone and got a bunch of lightning footage. Check out the below video of what I was able to get.

I hope you like the video. Please like, comment, and subscribe if you haven’t. Thanks.

Lightning Compilation

I was going through my videos and noticed a lightning compilation one from last year when I went all over the area to chase storms. I forgot I had posted it on YouTube so here is the video.

These are some of the best lightning strikes I’ve gotten on video. I hope you enjoy the video with the music.

Have a good one and stay safe out there. Peace.

Mobile Videography Editing - Kinemaster

Kinemaster is a powerful videography editing tool for your phone. You can get it for both Android and IOS. There is a free version and paid version of this app. The free version has a watermark on your video and you don’t have access to many of the effects but you can still edit your videos on the fly and get them on your social media platforms.

There are several tutorials on how to use this app on YouTube. Justin Brown with Primal Video (link provided) on how to start using this app. Once you get comfortable with the app, there are others like Ajay Kaja TV (link to his channel provided) who can help you take your mobile video editing to the next level.

I hope this blog post helps. If you are using any other apps on your phone, let me know in the comments below. I would be interested in seeing what others are using. Thanks and have a good one.

Storm Chasing Chronicles Part #2 is up

I was able to storm spot or chase from May 23rd to May 28th. The video below are highlights from each day. There was no way I could have put every lightning strike into one video without it being over 20 minutes long. I hope you enjoy it.

If you liked it, please let me know in the comments below. If you haven’t subscribed to my YouTube channel or to my blog, please do so. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and have a good one. Peace.

Lightning Shots - 3 different ways

We had storms come through here in southern Louisiana yesterday and there was lots of lightning. Once my duty day ended at four o’clock, I got into my car and tried to get some lightning shots. I had my phone shooting video and my Samsung Gear 360 was going in the back of my car. The shots below are from three different ways I was able to capture lightning.

There are different ways to capture lightning if you have the patience. For example, I took over 40 minutes of video with the 360 camera and this was the best lightning strike I got.

I hope you enjoyed the lightning shots as much as I enjoyed being out there and getting them. I love storm photography.

Please like, comment, and subscribe if you haven’t. I hope you have an outstanding day. Peace.
